The occuptionaldimension is defined by “refers to the satisfaction a person gets from his or her career or stage of career development. It also involves attaining and
maintaining a satisfying balance between work and leisure” (Donatelle&Thompson.2011, p.4) On this questionnaire I scored 25/40, which is not very good. The reason why I believe I scored really low is because I don’t have a career just yet. Also I’ve never had a part time job either. The most I have done close to work was in grade 9 we had a trip which was called “Take your daughter/son to work”. I went with my friend to her mom’s job which was at Dollarama. What I was told to do was to take the products out of the boxes and put them onto the selves. I also had to hang some of the tale clothes packages up on the hanger. Once we had finished that we where a loud to go home because it was for only half day. My experience from that was alright, because I got to experience what people do every day when they go to work. For instance, I had to wake up early to make sure I was on time; I got to experience what time the stores starts to get busy at, etc. I am content with the career path I am working towards (Massage Therapy) at school, because massage therapy is something I’m interested in. Also I’m looking forward to going to my job knowing that I’m helping someone with her muscle or joint pain |
