The emotional dimension is defined by “The feeling component of health and to the ability to effectively and appropriately express emotions. Feelings of self-esteem,
self-confidence, self-efficacy, trust, love, and others are part of emotional health” (Donatelle&Thompson.2011, p.3) When talking about emotional health we got to think how happy we are, how we feel about ourselves, and also how well are we with confronting our emotions. While taking the questionnaire I received a score of 23/40, which isn’t bad. Emotional health is very important because it can affect the way people communicate with others. For instance someone might be in a bad mood and say someone asked them a question that moody person might answer with some attitude, which they probably didn’t intend to sound mean. Therefore by letting someone know you’re emotional, they might try and help you out by asking whats wrong or what happened. I believe is a good idea to have that one person you could go to and tell them whats wrong and it might turn out they will turn that sad mood into the happy person you always are. I think my strong point in emotional dimension is that I don’t have a problem discussing my emotions with friends and family. My weakness point would have to be I don’t always tell my friends or family my problems because I feel like I might worry or might be bothering them, so there are times I try to deal with it on my own. |
